Disney Reward Dollars

When using your Disney VISA card, you will receive 1% of the purchase back in the form of Disney Reward Dollars.

When using your Disney VISA card, you will receive 1% of the purchase back in the form of Disney Reward Dollars. Once you have earned $20 Reward Dollars, you are able to transfer them over to your Disney Rewards Card, a credit card like card issued to you. The Disney Rewards Card can be used at Disney Stores, Disneyland, Walt Disney World and abord the Disney Cruise Line. It can also be to purchase park passes to one of the Disney theme parks, to pay for part of a Disney travel package or Disney Cruise, merchandise at DisneyDirect.com, meals at Disney restaurants, souvenirs, tours, golf or just about anything else you can think of that involves Disney.

Just present your rewards card as if paying with a credit card. You will receive a receipt showing the amount of rewards dollars used, and how many you have left on your card. The card is refillable, so you can continue to transfer fund to it (minimum amount is $10). Warning: The Disney Rewards Card has an expiration date. If you have reward dollars on the card when it expires, you lose those reward dollars. You only lose the dollars transfered to the card, not any that are still in your account, and not transfered over. Only transfer over the reward dollars you plan on using, or you can use prior to the expiration of the card.

  1. Are Canadians permitted to apply for a Disney Visa Card?
I have an application form which conflicts with information given by staff at Disney Store in Amherst , N.Y.
I look forward to your reply. Thank You, Maria Gilmour

  2. You can either call Chase at 1-800-300-8575 and order one, or you can order one online at http://www.chase.com/disney. Either way, it takes about 2 weeks to get the card. Please remember that any reward dollars on the card expire when the card does, so don’t forget to use them up before the expiration date. I suggest ordering it online, since once your account is set up online, you can easily transfer reward dollars over to your card.

  3. What will 71 reward points get me?? Is is worth it to get a card for that little points. Planning a trip to Disney in March–can I use it on the resort reservation??

  4. 71 reward points is worth $71. Absolutely worth getting a card for that. You an use the points towards part of a reservation, or better yet, just take the card with you and use it to buy something special, kind of like getting a souvenir for free. The rewards card can be used in the parks and resorts just like a credit card.

  5. If I get a card and you say I get a point for every dollar I spend. So if I have 525 points and my reservation at Pop Century is $1500 does the 525 go toward the reservation so my final payment would be $975.00? Also if the points go on Jan 1st 2006, how long do they stay good to use? In other words when do they expire when the time they are placed on the Reward card? What is the maxinum that you can accumalate on your credit for points to your Reward card? Thanks Gary Collar

  6. Yes, anywhere on Disney property that accepts credit cards will accept your Disney VISA rewards card as payment. So yes, water parks, theme parks, restaurants, shops, resorts, etc. Just about the only place that will not is some of the carts in the parks, they are not set up to accept credit cards.

  7. No, you cannot use the rewards points to pay off your credit card bill. They can only be used at the Disney parks, resorts restaruants, or other approved Disney outlets.

  8. I am planning a trip to Disney World in late Feb-Mar. I have had my Disney Visa about 3 months.
How much time in advance do I have to claim my reward point in order to have the card sent to me?
Also what is the expiration time of the points?
    Thank you

  9. You can request the rewards card online or by calling Chase. You must transfer $20 to the card to order it, and that is what I would suggest. Through your online account, you can then transfer over the balance after you receive the card, a few days before you travel. I might suggest ordering the card about 6 weeks out. It only takes a week or two to get the card to you, so that should leave plenty of time. If you are worried, order it the first week in January, and then transfer your balance over right before you go.

  10. How do I get a new card with my reward dollars on it. I am going to Disney in October and would like to use it.

  11. Denise

You can either call the 800 number on the back of your Disney VISA or if you have online access to your account, you can order a card that way. It only takes about a week to get your card, but I would do it now so you have it in hand.

I would suggest you initially put the minimal amount on the card, and transfer the remaining balance over a few days before you head to Disney. You can transfer the rewards dollars the same way you ordered your card.

  12. If I get a card and you say I get a point for every 100 dollars I spend. So if I have 525 points and my reservation at Pop Century is $1500 does the 525 go toward the reservation so my final payment would be $975.00? Also if the points go on Jan 1st 2007, how long do they stay good to use? In other words when do they expire when the time they are placed on the Reward card? What is the maxinum that you can accumalate on your credit for points to your Reward card? Thanks Joe Kosin

  13. It says you can earn 750$ in one year. Can you earn another 750 the secon year? If not, how do you get arround it? transfer some onto a card? Or maybe use the first 750 for the reservation then earn more to pay the balance of the reservation. Thanks alot!!!!

  14. @Joe – Your reward dollars are not automatically used, you have to request a Rewards Card from Chase, and provide that card number to Disney or your Travel Agent in order for you to use those reward dollars. The rewards are good forever, as long as they have not been transfered to your Rewards Card. Once transfered, they expire when the card does, which is usually the end of the year after you receive the card. There will be an expiration date on the card.

@Matt – You are limited to $750 per year, there is no overall limit. So, I guess you could continue to earn $750 per year for as long as you want.

@Janet – There are two ways, either by accessing your account at Chase.com/Disney or by calling the 800 number on the back of your Disney VISA. I would strongly suggest setting up an online account if you have not done so already, as you can check your balance there, order a rewards card and transfer rewards to the card when needed.
